Summoning Chess Spirits: My Phantom Beasts Are So Bizarre

On the Tianyi Continent, anyone can summon the remnant souls of legendary historical Go masters to compete.

Geniuses summon ancient Go masters like Huang Longshi and Fan Xiping, whose might shakes the lands.

But Lu Tianyuan, a down-and-out young master, summons a modern gaming addict who can’t stop talking about the Golden Spatula, right in front of a vast crowd.

The entire school bursts into laughter, convinced he has summoned a good-for-nothing with no cultivation whatsoever.

But the moment they sit down at the Go board, the modern streamer opens with a 3-3 invasion, unleashing all kinds of baffling AI-style moves.

As he shouts “We’re in the lead!” on a live stream across the spirit network, his era-defying chaotic fighting style pushes the ancient Go masters to the brink of exhaustion.

When Lu Tianyuan and his surreal spirit sweep the global league, everyone is left dumbfounded.

People can only cry out, “Who says streamers who fool around can’t play Go? Who taught him this shameless, unorthodox style?”
