After transmigrating to a wasteland, Lin Ze becomes a mech repairman on Scrap Street in an underground city, barely scraping by while running a run-down shop.
A gang boss shows up to collect a debt, threatening to smash the repair shop and take the broken-down machines inside.
Lin Ze sighs and pulls out a rusty gear with a chipped tooth.
The next moment, scrap metal from across the street assembles out of nowhere into a ten-meter-tall god-tier mech, which crushes the gang’s heavy combat armor into a pretzel with one hand.
The Tower Consortium is furious. “Activate the Abyss-class orbital weapons! Send out the Sky Screen Fleet! Vaporize the man and the city together!”
Lin Ze quietly digs out 1.1 million lines of bad debt from the underground city, along with an overdue water bill from eighty years ago, and forcibly feeds them through the network into the Tower’s fire-control mainframe.
The Tower’s central computer locks up on the spot. Its shields go down, and the Tower, which fancied itself divine, is blasted into ruins by its own Sky Screen weapons.
The Deep Space Council arrives, thousands of battleships blockading the passage. “Hand over management rights to Earth’s greenhouse, or we’ll scour the surface with our stellar-scale planet-busting cannon!”
Faced with a threat capable of erasing a star system, Lin Ze takes a wrench with a chipped jaw and, before every channel, physically connects the base cable of the stellar weapons tower.
“Debts must be repaid. You’ve neglected your maintenance fees for eighty years, so this interstellar fortress should just about cover half the late fees.”
When Lin Ze forcibly turns the stellar cannon around and locks onto the alien mothership...
The Council’s inspector goes insane.
The financial magnates across the stars are dumbfounded. “Wait, you call that a low-level repairman?!”
