Lin Ye, a new recruit in the 129th Division, clawed his way out of a pile of corpses, with the company commander who had died saving him lying on top of him.

All around him, Japanese soldiers were cruelly finishing off the wounded. The danger was imminent!

At death's door, Lin Ye awakened the “Heroic Spirits Memorial System.” Every Japanese soldier he killed earned him Heroic Spirit points, and paying tribute to fallen heroes could grant him an endless stream of skills and advanced weapons!

Armed with half a broken bayonet, Lin Ye sprang up and killed a Japanese sergeant, earning [Master-Level Broadsword Technique]!

He snatched a gun and took down three more in quick succession, then got a Type 38 rifle and ammunition as another reward!

He spent Heroic Spirit points to honor his company commander and immediately gained the powerful skill [Battlefield Awareness]!

“Commander, I swear I'll do your gun proud!”

Lin Ye wiped the blood from his face and stared at a Japanese squad in the distance, his eyes bloodshot.

From hand-to-hand combat to tactical command, from Mauser pistols to fully automatic firepower, Lin Ye slaughtered his way forward and raked in gear along the way.
