This Family Tree Gets More Ridiculous the More I Read

Lu Changqing transmigrates into the world of immortal cultivation and becomes the new patriarch of a fallen cultivation clan.

He opens his eyes to find the ancestral home being seized to pay off debts, the spirit fields taken, the clan elders gravely injured, and the younger generation either dead or gone.

The Lu Clan is left with only a dozen or so old, weak, sick, and injured members.

Everyone thinks the Lu Clan is finished.

Until Lu Changqing discovers that

The clan cousin who spends all day crouched by the kitchen fire has a natural fire spirit physique.

The clan uncle who failed to establish his foundation three times and was ready to go home and farm is actually far better at forging artifacts than cultivation.

The clan cousin who came home in tears after her engagement was broken off possesses a special bloodline she doesn’t even know about.

Even the little brat in the clan who does nothing but sneak spirit fruit every day might one day become a mighty figure in his own right.

Lu Changqing suddenly understands something.

The Lu Clan isn’t short on talent.

No one knew how to put it to use before.

And so, from that day on, the Lu Clan changes.

While others fight over secret realms, the Lu Clan farms spirit fields.

While others scramble for inheritances, the Lu Clan opens a clan academy.

While others spend fortunes hiring alchemists, the Lu Clan trains its own.

While others fight tooth and nail over a single genius, Lu Changqing lowers his gaze to the clan genealogy.

“A genius?”

“We rank those by seniority in our clan.”

Many years later.

As one Lu clan member after another reaches the summit of the Immortal Realm, the mighty figures of the myriad heavens gaze at the family that has grown so vast it inspires despair, and are left with one question

What happened to that little clan that was on the verge of extinction all those years ago?
