A Death Magnet? I'm the Police Station's Favorite!

Two in the morning, twenty hours after I got fired.

Starving and seeing stars, I used a dream to fish for a late-night snack by the lake in my apartment complex. Instead, I hooked a locked suitcase full of dismembered remains. Even more bizarrely, a stray ragdoll cat beside me suddenly spoke: “Are you Sadako? You scared the life out of me!”

Yep, somehow I’d suddenly started understanding animals.

The criminal-investigation captain suspected I was losing it. I hugged the cat and looked at him. “Officer, he’s an eyewitness cat. Should he come too?” He fell silent for three seconds. “…Bring him along.”

Later, I solved the dismemberment case with clues from my cat buddy and a little snake. After that, all the little animals in the city became my intelligence network.

[Case-of-the-week]

Solve cases, collect rewards, keep myself and my cat buddy fed, and enjoy Captain Zhou’s permanently scowling face along the way. Life is busy, but it’s a blast.

Gothic, long-haired girl × poker-faced criminal-investigation captain

One girl, one cat, and… solving cases to make ends meet.

Being able to understand animals is a bit of a hassle, but it sure pays well.
