Horrors Descend, and I Get My Whole Family on the Government Payroll

[A fiercely competitive heroine + secret realms entered while awake + dreamwalking through the Classic of Mountains and Seas] [No romance + plot-driven + mildly creepy + a heroine who is righteous to a fault, neither a saint nor cold-blooded] You must leave this building before dawn, or something terrible will happen. At some point, this thought had taken root in Tao Liuliu's mind. But why did this nine-story building seem to go on forever? There was a blood-soaked, psychotic killer in the elevator. The mother calling her wasn't really her mother. In the hallway, a little girl's head bounced like a ball. A pale ghost, a top-tier star, and exam questions where every answer was correct all stood in her way... Only later did she learn these were just appetizers. She had been chosen by the secret-realm trial grounds. From then on, she left her ordinary life behind, walking the line between life and death as she faced one bizarre trial after another. The old days would be swallowed by the past, but the mountains and seas would always find their way home. Fortunately, her loving family was always at her back. Whether they wanted to be there or not.
