Secret Heiress, Flash Marriage: Lawyer Fu Is Jealous Every Day

[Both devoted only to each other + marriage first, love later + workplace gossip + secret crush comes true + lighthearted and funny]

Fu Yanci, the “cold-faced King of Hell” at Junheng Law Firm, is famously aloof and abstinent. He's made three assistant lawyers cry in six months.

But he's surprisingly lenient with Su Banxia, the intern assigned to his team.

The whole firm is ravenously gossiping about them, while Su Banxia herself has no clue. All she can think about is making money for a house.

To fend off pressure to marry and save up for a down payment, Su Banxia spends every weekend speed-dating. But she's a magnet for terrible matches: stingy men and overconfident mama's boys take turns showing up.

After her seventh date falls apart, Su Banxia is so furious with the weirdo she was set up with that she sits by the roadside, crying as she bites into a scallion pancake.

A Rolls-Royce pulls up in front of her.

The cool and distinguished Lawyer Fu offers her a tissue, his ears turning red. “If all you want is someone to split a mortgage with, why not marry me?”

Su Banxia is so startled she drops her pancake. “L-Lawyer Fu? I just want to make money. I don't want to marry above my station.”

Fu Yanci hands her a prenuptial agreement so generous it's practically charity. “With my face and my assets, aren't I more suitable for building a life with than those ugly losers?”

Su Banxia is gradually won over by his gentle persistence. The moment she signs, he's whisking her off to the marriage registry.

Wasn't this supposed to be a hands-off arrangement? After they marry, Lawyer Fu is fiercely possessive and gets jealous over nothing every day!

Su Banxia snaps, “Fu Yanci, I want a divorce!”

He pins her against his desk, his voice low and husky. “Lawyer Su, legally speaking, you're our marital property. You can forget about divorcing me in this lifetime.”
