After He Dumped Me, the Ice-Cold Professor Begged Me to Cook Every Day

[One Heroine + No System + Cozy Immortal Life + Mutual Healing + Career Comeback]

Three years ago, Lin Yuan, a gifted architectural designer, took the fall for his first love and was blacklisted from the industry, plummeting from the heights of success. Now he is a laid-back young man running a shabby late-night diner in an urban village.

To save money, he rents the ground floor of an old Western-style house. The second floor belongs to Xia Qingqiu, a mysterious, icy landlady. She lays down three strict rules: no going upstairs, no noise, and no bringing people over. On the very first day he moves in, she even tells him to “get out” for making the floor dirty.

One day, Lin Yuan’s younger sister, Lin Miaomiao, who has just been accepted into the graduate program at Jiangcheng University, launches into a tirade over dinner:

“Bro, that new ice-cold demon professor in our department is unbelievable! Her IQ is 180, but her life skills are negative 180! Today she actually fed coffee beans to a stray dog, thinking they were dog food!”

“Bro, the demon professor had a stomachache and skipped dinner again today. I’m sneaking off with your pot of nourishing soup!”

The more Lin Yuan listens to his sister’s complaints, the more something feels off.

Then one night, he hears a heavy thud from upstairs. He rushes up and finds the “devil mentor” and “ice-cold landlady,” who had been mercilessly bullying his sister all day, clutching the insulated lunchbox he made and on the verge of tears because she didn’t get the last rib…

Lin Yuan: “…Professor Xia, isn’t your rent for last month overdue?”
