In the Name of Ren: Qi Tongwei's Brand-New Life

Chen Weiguo, a former special forces soldier, accidentally transmigrated into the world of In the Name of the People and became the uncle of eight-year-old Qi Tongwei. He swore to defy fate and change the course of history.

In 1978, he enlisted in the army and fought his way from the new recruits’ camp in the Ailao Mountains to the battlefield in southern Xinjiang. He broke the army record in the five-kilometer cross-country run, threw grenades like a human mortar, and single-handedly took out an enemy bunker. In just one year, the farm boy had become a decorated hero.

But the battlefield was only the beginning. He was determined to forge an honorable path forward.

In this life, Qi Tongwei wouldn’t have to kneel, beg, or cry out to the heavens, “I’ll win even if it’s only by half a move.” Because Chen Weiguo would hold up the sky for him.
