When I was five, I became the most unwelcome person in my family.
My father saw me as a jinx who had taken my mother from him. My grandmother called me a curse who brought ruin to the family, and my brother took pleasure in tormenting me.
Then, on a snowy night, I was pushed into an icy pond and left to die. He pulled me out and looked coldly down at my family. “If you don’t want this daughter, I do.”
For ten years, I bided my time. In his care, I was pampered until I became a queen.
When I swept through the business world as a genius designer and rising star in finance, the family who had once discarded me like trash finally came to their senses and begged me to come home. Holding a glass of red wine, I smiled with elegant coldness. “Sorry. The little girl who needed you most died in that icy pond twenty years ago.”
Why didn't the author write the ending as originally introduced? It's a pity, the subject matter is quite good. It was really heart-wrenching to watch, but I thought I would get through it, but it turned out to be an irreversible tragic outcome. Suffocating.
It's very beautiful. Why don't you write more?
