Great Ming: Hongwu’s Little Lucky Star, Zhu Yuanzhang’s Darling

Adorable child + family favorite + lucky charm + transmigrate + Ming Dynasty

In her previous life, Zhu Baozhu was a poverty-alleviation official. She transmigrates into the body of the Hongwu Emperor’s two-and-a-half-year-old legitimate youngest daughter in the Ming Dynasty.

She thinks she can lie flat and enjoy life, only to discover that her “heaven-sent good fortune” is a trap. As long as she sincerely does good deeds, her wishes come true, but the price is a drain on her life force that shortens her lifespan!

An urgent dispatch arrives from the border: Liangzhou City has run out of provisions.

Seeing her cheap dad, Zhu Yuanzhang, red-eyed with worry, Baozhu presses her chubby little hand against a wasteland. In an instant, several withered wild wheat seedlings shoot up from the ground, bearing golden grains as big as fists!

“Daddy, with this divine wheat, the Ming cavalry won’t have to go hungry anymore, right?”

Old Zhu looks at the hill of giant wheat ears, then at his daughter, who has fainted from draining her life force. His eyes redden as he draws his saber.

“I wouldn’t trade one hair on my daughter’s head for ten thousand cities like Liangzhou! Anyone who dares make her use her good fortune again will have their entire clan executed!”

But when Baozhu wakes up, she’s happily munching on a top-grade vermilion fruit she casually coaxed into growing, juice running down her chin. She lets out a milky little burp.

“Don’t worry, Daddy. One little fruit and Baozhu is back to full health!”

From then on, the Ming Dynasty takes a completely different turn.

The harvest from any barren field the little princess touches triples, and the yield of any iron mine she looks at skyrockets.

Officials line up all the way outside the Meridian Gate just to have the little princess touch their memorials.

Old Zhu proudly seats his daughter on the Dragon Throne.

“Ministers, if you have anything to report, tell our lucky star first!”
