They Made You the God of Life, and You Greened the Underworld

Pope Sage had lived for nearly three hundred years. What hadn’t he seen? But he swore he’d never seen a train that could fly through the sky with a rabbit-eared nose. The train not only ignored the barrier he’d set up as Pope, it also landed right in front of Manigoldo, whom he was about to take on as a disciple. A fuzzy, unidentified creature could be seen jumping around in the window, yelling, “Watch your step, pa!” Then a three-year-old boy was thrown out. The train let out a hoarse whistle and floored it back into the sky, as if tossing away a hot potato. The moment the boy hit the ground, a surging tide of life swept through the entire town, instantly clearing away all traces of death. The little brat dusted off his clothes and looked solemnly at the two of them. “Hello. My name is Xinsui Edwards, God of Life. I sensed life here calling out to me. So, um… were you two the ones who summoned me?” Sage’s jaw dropped all the way to his toes. Little Ma, meanwhile, shouted in a frenzy, “You owe me a new toy!”
