Limbus: Personality Dismemberment

Pritchard Pinel had just returned home from the hospital. Sitting at his desk, he opened the notebook he'd just bought and began writing in his diary.

He really shouldn't be leaving a record like this.

The more traces you leave, the more leverage people have against you. He understood that better than anyone.

But the doctor had told him to write.

Personality disintegration.

That's the strange illness I've been diagnosed with.

Before I saw a doctor, I was firmly convinced I was a transmigrator… but I digress.

To be serious, the core of this illness is a persistent feeling that you aren't real, as though you're watching yourself from the outside, often accompanied by a sense that your surroundings are unreal.

My symptoms are a little unusual.

I can “see” myself become another person, and even receive most of that person's memories.

Pretty amazing, right?

If someone else, some ordinary person, had gained this ability, they'd probably be over the moon.

Me? Before I'd even finished graduate school, I was pushed through the ranks and assigned to K Corp.

What is this supposed to mean?
