Gold Rush: Slay the Gods

Yuan Meijun, a young gold prospector from Tianben Town, was content with a quiet life beside his ancestral gold mine and his wife, Zhu Aitao. But a bizarre cave-in swept him into a supernatural maelstrom. At death's door, he awakened the “Prospector's Eye,” which could see through mineral veins, divine essence, and weaknesses. He also inadvertently awakened the ancient artifact “God-Eater Blade.” It could devour divine essence and corruption from evil gods, but at the cost of eroding his soul. Only his wife's “Light of Purification” could keep it in check.

To protect the woman he loved and uncover the truth behind his parents' martyrdom, Yuan Meijun joined the Night Watchers and formed the “Gold Mine Squad” with Cao Yan, a fiery brawler; Yuan Xiaoman, who wielded wood-element vines; and Lan Jia, an earth-element guardian of tombs. They cleared out nests of divine servants and fought evil-god cults across borders, only to face betrayal from a mole and a backstab from a loved one. His uncle, Yuan Tianhai, was possessed by the remnant soul of an earth-element True God; his wife, Zhu Aitao, had her Light Godhead extracted and fell into a coma; and the people of Tianben Town were devastated.

After his faith crumbled, Yuan Meijun rose from despair and took up the God-Eater Blade once more to seek revenge. Deep in the ruins of an ancient divine realm, he uncovered the truth: his parents had willingly given their lives to delay the evil god's descent. He inherited the reincarnation of the first Godslayer and gathered the divine power of all nine elements, breaking through to the upper reaches of the Godslayer Realm. At last, he and Zhu Aitao, awakened as the Goddess of Light, joined forces as husband and wife with the human coalition, sealing the outer god Azathoth with the God-Eater Blade in its ultimate form.

When the catastrophe ended, Yuan Meijun lost all his cultivation and became mortal again. Zhu Aitao shed her goddess's form, and the two returned to Tianben to reopen their gold mine. Ten years later, their son, Yuan Xiaojin, awakened the Prospector's Eye, quietly beginning a new cycle in the fate of the next Godslayer.
