No one's life can really be this tragic. Qiao Xixi thought so too. No matter what happened, he wanted to keep living. But that wish felt impossibly far away. His life seemed cursed, suffocating him at every turn, and the people he trusted and loved most hurt him the deepest.

When you get down to it, all those words amount to nothing but resentment that the other person never loved him at all, while he alone had been foolish enough to give everything, deceived all along.

Ju Luozhi's words were so ridiculous, and so sickening.
P.S. If you read angsty or dark Korean webtoons, you can basically read this one as a sweet romance. Both leads have had previous partners. The top is yandere, cunning, gentle, and rich; the bottom is kind and adorable, but has had a hard life and is drowning in debt. There's also a little bit of the top being the one who gets pursued.
