Fleeing Famine: The Timid Little Wallflower Clings to the Hunter

[Fleeing famine + awful relatives + fierce, rugged hunter + gentle, shy heroine + farming with a space]

During a famine so severe that people traded their children for food, Yu Shui'er transmigrated into the body of a delicate young woman in a refugee caravan, just as her awful relatives were about to sell her.

The System issued a mission: “Go steal some roasted meat from the fiercest hunter, then throw your arms around his broad waist. Reward: ten jin of premium rice!”

The hunter before her, Li Feng, stood nine feet tall, his face fierce and menacing. He held a broadsword, and even bandits dared not come within a hundred paces.

Dizzy with hunger, Yu Shui'er shut her eyes and lunged at him, wrapping both arms around his sturdy waist. “H-husband, I’m hungry!”

Everyone was horrified, waiting for her to be cleaved in two.

Li Feng’s blade stopped in midair. He looked at the trembling, delicate bundle in his arms, his Adam’s apple bobbing violently.

He tore off the fattest wolf leg and stuffed it into her mouth. His voice was rough as he said, “Once you’ve eaten your fill, you’re mine.”
