One Piece: I Retired from the Rocks Era

[Laid-Back Protagonist] [Misunderstandings] [Comedy] [One Piece] [Behind-the-Scenes Mastermind Persona]

After transmigrating into the chaotic era when the Rocks Pirates ruled the seas, Rock awakens the “Punctual Clock-Out System”: as long as he clocks in and out on time every day, from nine to five, and never works overtime, he can grow stronger while doing nothing!

And so, the Marines gain an oddball:

Halfway through the Battle of God Valley, he checks his watch. “It’s time to go. I’m not working overtime.” With that, he vanishes in a flash of lightning.

As a result, Rocks is left gravely injured by the aftershock of thunder when Rock leaves, while Whitebeard, Golden Lion, and Kaido are collectively dumbfounded.

Sengoku: “Whenever Rock retreats, he must be secretly guarding against the World Government’s schemes! He’s the true backbone of justice!”

Garp: “That kid always picks the perfect moment. Could he have seen through the Five Elders’ plans long ago?”

Whitebeard: “That lightning brat holds back every time we fight. Is he protecting the spark of this era?”

Roger: “What an interesting man… What grand scheme is he hatching?”

Rock stares at the “Lifetime Honorary Fleet Admiral” appointment sent by the World Government, which is terrified of him, and falls into deep thought. “I really just want to clock out on time…”
