Underground Queen: Mr. Gu Kneels and Begs for Forgiveness, but I Won't Listen

[Strong female lead + wealthy family feuds + groveling-after-the-breakup + career-focused + no self-sacrificing saint]

Shen Qingyi thought she had married Gu Ye Han, heir to an underground family. She had no idea that she was the true heir, while Gu Ye Han was merely the “bodyguard” the family had chosen for her.

Behind her back, Gu Ye Han played out a “mistaking the young master for a male model” romance with college student Su Chacha. Su Chacha showed up pregnant to force her way in, and Gu Ye Han, determined to protect his first love, not only let her destroy Shen Qingyi’s parents’ keepsakes but also stabbed Shen Qingyi through the palm with a dagger.

“Have your fun, but you’ll still be the wife.”

Gu Ye Han said it without a trace of shame.

Then, at the ceremony to pass on the family patriarch’s staff, Old Master Gu handed Shen Qingyi the token representing supreme authority.

The whole room was stunned: Shen Qingyi was the true heir!

Shen Qingyi broke off the engagement in front of everyone, and Gu Ye Han immediately lost his status as heir.

Su Chacha turned on him in an instant, called him useless, then hurriedly got an abortion and dumped him.

With nothing left, Gu Ye Han crawled on his knees and begged for forgiveness, then smashed his head against a pillar and killed himself on the spot.

Three years later, Shen Qingyi chose the fiercely loyal Gu Ci as her deputy. Firmly in the top seat herself, she had become the fearsome Queen of the underworld.

Someone asked, “Ms. Shen, I heard Young Master Gu was deeply devoted to you back then?”

Shen Qingyi sneered. “His love was worth no more than the weight of a dagger.”
