Siheyuan: As Chief of Surgery, I Treat All Those Beasts

[Siheyuan courtyard + period setting + miracle doctor + proficiency panel + no holier-than-thou protagonist + lighthearted power fantasy + smart characters + never takes things lying down] In 1958, Lin Yuan graduates from university with maxed-out skills in both Chinese and Western medicine. Armed with an assignment letter naming him an exceptional eighth-grade attending physician, he returns to Nanluoguxiang. But as soon as he walks in, he catches Jia Zhangshi breaking the lock and seizing his family’s home, reserved for the family of a fallen serviceman! The First Master resorts to moral blackmail, while Silly Zhu raises his fists and prepares to use force. Facing this courtyard full of scoundrels, Lin Yuan sneers. He won’t let them get away with it! He whips out his stethoscope and gives the hysterical Jia Zhangshi a professional diagnosis of “acute contagious mania.” His diagnosis scares her out of her wits on the spot, forcing the entire courtyard to send her to a psychiatric hospital that very night! After starting work at Red Star Hospital, Lin Yuan uses his proficiency panel and combines Chinese medical massage with the Thirteen Ghost Gate Needles to pull a senior expert suffering an acute attack back from the brink of death. On his very first day, he stuns Director Yang and is promoted straight to deputy head of surgery, with the benefits of a sixth-grade cadre! In an era when buying meat requires ration coupons, Lin Yuan eats meat at every meal and holds the power to decide who gets sick leave or workers’ compensation throughout the entire factory. The scoundrels in the courtyard are consumed with jealousy, yet they have no choice but to beg him for treatment. Who dares mess with me? Deputy Director Lin will teach you how to behave using the rules of medicine!
