When Lin Mo wakes up, he finds himself trapped in a metal carriage barely two meters long.

One loaf of bread, one bottle of mineral water, and five copper coins.

These are all his starting supplies, as well as the fare he must pay on his first day to keep his carriage from being thrown off the train.

The endless train never stops.

At midnight each day, every passenger gets one chance to explore. They can enter areas along the route through portals to search for food, weapons, materials, and copper coins.

But monsters infest the world outside the carriage. Return points appear at random, and after a fight, passengers must stay out of danger for five seconds before they can teleport back.

And after dark, gray fog swallows the tracks.

Things in the fog knock on the windows, imitate dead loved ones, and find the most familiar voices hidden in the passengers' memories.

After surviving the first night, Lin Mo awakens an F-rank scouting talent that everyone else looks down on.

Others can only see an item's name.

He can see the tripwire beneath a wooden crate, an old fatal wound on a monster's belly, a crack about to leak at the bottom of a water bottle, and annotations the System deliberately hides.

While the other passengers are risking their lives to learn through trial and error, Lin Mo is already following the clues to find one escape route after another.

But after the train enters the Dark Forest, a lost-and-found box belonging to the track inspector, an unnumbered black train, and the secrets hidden deep in the gray fog are all slowly drawing closer to him.
