Uncle Nine: I Turn into a Black-Armored Corpse Under the Moonlight

Beneath a star-filled sky that outshone the moon, Liu Feng opened his eyes and found himself lying in a wasteland overgrown with weeds. He raised a hand. His nails were pitch-black, as if painted with ink, yet he had a heartbeat, body heat, and a shadow. When he stood, his joints crackled. Looking down, he saw a few drops of dark red liquid trickling from between his fingers onto the grass. The sound of chains dragging along the ground came from the distance. He clenched his fist and turned around. Moonlight illuminated the path behind him, where a tall, gaunt figure in gray robes stood ten paces away, watching him. The figure held a string of copper bells, their sound ringing intermittently in the wind.
