She is an undisclosed little princess of British nobility; he is the capital's most powerful heir.

Wen Liuzi is half Chinese and half British, with purple curls and amber eyes. Her father is a British lord, and her mother is Wen Wanqing, a legendary movie queen. Keeping her plans secret from her family, she arrives in the capital and starts from scratch in show business. She has no idea that, on the day of her first audition, a pair of deep black eyes in the corner became fixed on her the moment she crouched in an alley to coax a cat.

Lu Yanci is a power broker in the capital, cool and self-possessed, until the moment he sees her and loses control. Her image keeps invading his midnight dreams, but every attempt to find her comes up empty. Then, at a private banquet hosted by the Wen family, he catches sight of those purple curls again. He walks through the crowd toward her, only to see her chatting and laughing with someone else. Jealousy surges, and his possessiveness gets out of control. As luck would have it, her cousin is a longtime friend of his.

He uses that connection to get closer, one step at a time: visiting her on set, driving her home on a rainy night, and publicly announcing their relationship. When she faces danger while filming, he is the first to arrive. When rumors and slander target her, he uses every resource at his disposal to protect her. When she says, “I don't want to be the only one watching you,” he stops chasing her and walks by her side.

“Wen Liuzi, ever since I met you, you've been in every one of my dreams. Don't smile at anyone else. Look at me more.”

From a British noblewoman pursuing her dreams to the capital's heir loving her with obsessive devotion; from the thrill of love at first sight to tearfully accepting his proposal by the sea; from their relationship announcement setting the internet ablaze to dazzling the world together on the red carpet.
