Reborn as a Tyrant, I Save a Lonely Girl, and She Won't Leave Me Alone

Overworked office drone Lin Yu wakes up inside a modern melodrama, as the campus bully everyone loves to hate. In the original story, he crushes the heroine Su Wannian’s youth to dust, and ends up with his family ruined and himself dying violently in the street. After seeing the horrific ending in his mind, Lin Yu breaks into a cold sweat: He has to redeem himself, and fast! From then on, the bully’s personality changes completely. He stops picking on the heroine or making things difficult for her, and protects her at every turn, hoping only to max out her favorability and survive until the finale. But he doesn’t understand that the girl has spent her whole life in darkness, with no one ever treating her kindly. A shared umbrella, a bandage, a simple “Don’t be afraid”, each becomes the only light in her bleak life. Give her too much tenderness, and things will eventually spiral out of control. When she is reclaimed by a wealthy family and gains immense power, Lin Yu kindly tries to bring her together with the male lead chosen by fate, planning to bow out cleanly. But the girl, always so meek, suddenly grabs his wrist, shadows filling her eyes. “You saved me, and now you want to run? Lin Yu, you can only be mine in this life.” The plot has long gone off the rails. In this story of salvation, which one of them is really saving the other?
