I Asked You to Build a Tiny Pistol, and You Handcrafted a Railgun

After graduating from military academy, Gou Shen was dumped in Institute 749 to tighten screws. Well, not exactly: he was told to make pistols. His colleagues were either churning out "Silver Fox" pocket cannons or assembling "Hummingbird" transforming robots. Gou Shen stared at the thick, black lump of metal in his hands and pondered: the boss wanted something "portable, discreet, and able to take someone down." This electromagnetic-pulse pistol of mine is portable (350 grams), discreet (no sound, no muzzle flash), and able to take someone down (one shot sends a sedan flying into the sky where it sits)... That should count as meeting the requirements, right? Chief Engineer Yang stared at the smoking Volkswagen, his face even darker than the car. "I asked you to make a pistol. Why did you make me a damn monster?" Director Kang was ecstatic. "300,000? That's cheap! Get me a whole truckload to start!" Gou Shen: Don't ask. The answer is that I don't have enough military-industrial points. Otherwise, I'd pull out powered armor next chapter and open your eyes.
