Crayon Shin-chan: From the Start, I See Through the Konjac Doppelgangers

After transmigrating into the world of Crayon Shin-chan, Lin Xia becomes a transfer student in the Sunflower Class at Futaba Kindergarten.

He thinks he’ll get to watch Shin-chan cause mischief every day and lie flat through a carefree childhood. But from the start, he runs straight into the most terrifying movie in the entire series: the Konjac Copy People invade Kasukabe!

Misae, no longer prone to flying into a rage and throwing punches, is always gentle and smiling. Miss Yoshinaga is unfailingly kind, and even the stingy grocery store owner has become unusually generous.

People around him are being replaced without anyone noticing. The originals are secretly imprisoned in an underground factory, and the entire city is sliding toward the abyss of “making the whole world samba,” while most people remain completely unaware.

Fortunately, Lin Xia awakens the [Anomaly Recognition System]. No matter how convincing the copy people’s disguises are, they can’t fool his eyes.

One samba tune makes fake Misae lose control and start shaking her hips, exposing her true form on the spot;

A barrage of questions in class leaves the fake teacher riddled with slip-ups, fleeing in panic;

A blast of dissolving spray softens the konjac copy and leaves it collapsed and unable to move.

He joins forces with the Kasukabe Defense Force, exposing disguises, rescuing the originals, and destroying strongholds as they make their way from homes to kindergarten, from the neighborhood to the copy people’s headquarters. Step by step, they uncover the shocking plot of the “Assimilation Society” behind it all.

Here you’ll find the hilarious, true-to-the-original everyday antics of Shin-chan, a suspenseful mystery about identities that tightens at every turn, and a steady stream of satisfying counterattacks and daring escapes.

When even the people closest to you might be copy people, can you still trust your own eyes?
