Transmigrated into a County Coroner: Solving Strange Cases While Raising a Child

Modern forensic doctor Lin Weiwei wakes up to find she has become the lowliest female coroner in Qinghe County of the Great Jing dynasty, with a scrawny five-year-old child thrown in for good measure.

In Great Jing, coroners belong to the lowest social class, and a female coroner is considered an ill-omened bringer of bad luck.

The powerful treat human lives as worthless, and her fellow coroners scheme against her. From the start, she is in a situation with no way out!

Lin Weiwei sneers. “The dead don’t lie, but I can make them talk!”

She disguises luminol as “ghost fire” to identify killers, uses fingerprint visualization to leave ancient detectives utterly outmatched, and teaches arrogant officials a lesson with forensic entomology!

With a child in tow, she tramples the worst people underfoot and solves one strange case after another, rising from a bringer of bad luck to become the greatest female investigator in the land!

Even better is the bodyguard “Xiao Jiu” she casually picks up.

When assassins attack, he wipes out the whole crowd in a second with a rolling pin; behind closed doors, though, he wears a floral apron and frantically washes diapers.

Then one day, ten thousand elite imperial guards arrive in great haste to find their dreaded “Living Yama” of a master, only to discover him holding a washbasin and whining pitifully: “Wife, I’ve finished the laundry. Can I have a braised chicken drumstick for lunch?”
