I Asked You to See a Doctor, Not Run Off with Dr. Gu

Xu You is a sports student who usually has strength to spare, but lately a stabbing pain in her chest has turned her into a fragile Lin Daiyu.

She books an appointment with Gu Nanzhou, the top breast specialist at a Grade-A tertiary hospital. The moment Xu You steps into his office, her legs go weak.

There’s no other reason: Professor Gu is devastatingly handsome, with pale skin, gold-rimmed glasses, and an air of such restraint that he seems untouched by worldly concerns.

“Take it off,” Gu Nanzhou says coolly.

Xu You’s mind goes blank. She covers her chest with both hands and cries, “Dr. Gu, I’ll perform for you, but I won’t sell my body!”

A vein twitches at Gu Nanzhou’s temple. Through clenched teeth, he says, “I meant take off your coat so I can examine you! What on earth are you thinking?”

After the chaotic examination, Xu You thinks she’ll never see him again. But regular physical therapy keeps bringing her back, and the scheming professor somehow manages to “cling” to her.

Her awful ex shows up, begging to get back together and mocking her for being unwanted.

Gu Nanzhou walks by in his white coat, pulls Xu You into his arms, and fixes the man with an icy stare. “Who are you to judge Mrs. Gu Nanzhou?”

Xu You: ??? Dr. Gu, when did we get married?

Gu Nanzhou coaxes her softly, “How about right now? Did you bring your household registration booklet?”
