After Dumping the Powerful Minister, the Deposed Princess Ascends the Throne

The Empress of a chaotic age, Chu Mei, is poisoned to death by her trusted aide and imperial consort. When she opens her eyes again, she has become the least-favored Ninth Princess of the Great Zhou Dynasty, a good-for-nothing about to be sent off to marry into an enemy kingdom.

On the eve of her wedding, she is drugged and thrown into a woodshed.

Her lofty fiancé, the Grand Chancellor, watches coldly as she is bullied, holding hands with her white-lotus half-sister.

Chu Mei laughs and touches the “Imperial Dragon Vein System” awakened along with her soul.

They want her to suffer disgrace in a political marriage? She kicks open the door, grabs the abstinent, aloof Grand Chancellor, and drags him behind the bed curtains.

Pressing a gold hairpin to his throat, she says, “My lord, lend me your exceptional Ziwei star destiny for a while.”

From then on, the meek Ninth Princess becomes a beguiling, untamed power-seeking maniac.

To awaken the dragon vein and reclaim the throne, she sets her sights on the finest men in every kingdom.

The bloodthirsty prince of another surname, who commands a mighty army, becomes a captive on the bed in her tent;

the aloof, proud hostage prince from the enemy kingdom humbly presents her with a map of his realm, begging for her favor;

and the Grand Chancellor, who once treated her like dirt, kneels beneath the vermilion palace steps, his eyes bloodshot: “Your Highness, it’s my turn to attend you tonight.”

When she dons the imperial robes and claims the realm, the entire court is stunned to discover that her harem is packed with the world’s most powerful men.

And they’re even drawing swords and fighting every day over who gets to be her imperial consort?
