Haunted houses plague the countryside, where vengeful spirits claim lives. An ancient manor lies under a constant howl of eerie winds, and two different women’s sobs can often be heard in the dead of night.
Lin Yan, a country youth born with a secret ancestral art of divine fire, is skilled in yin-yang geomancy and known as a folk exorcist.
From corpse fiends in graveyards to deadly yin formations, danger comes knocking at every turn as he wards off evil spirits and cleanses haunted homes. Meanwhile, two different female ghosts compete for Lin Yan’s affection, each trying to outdo the other and thwarting him at every turn.
At the brink of life and death, the thousand-year-old fox immortal Wu Meiniang appears through the mist and joins him in exploring forbidden lands between yin and yang. She helps him subdue the rampaging evil spirits and restore peace to the village, while helping him unravel the tangled feelings between the two women.
