Li Ping: Anti-Corruption Bureau Chief

Li Ping, the ordinary-born heroine, studied hard through college and joined the county forestry bureau after graduating.

She had devoted five years of her life to a relationship, only to be forced to break up when they began discussing marriage. Her boyfriend’s mother looked down on her and disapproved, so he went in search of a wealthier match.

Heartbroken, Li Ping was devastated. Then she was unexpectedly in a car accident. After lying in a coma for three months, she narrowly survived, and the ordeal transformed her temperament.

She went from being gentle, meek, and reserved to a resolute, decisive, and domineering woman.

After recovering and returning to work, she performed her duties diligently and was appointed director of the anti-corruption bureau.

During her tenure, she unexpectedly uncovered corruption and misconduct linked to relatives of her ex-boyfriend’s girlfriend.

She pursued every lead and held fast to her principles, refusing to let personal ties sway her as she secretly investigated criminal forces and the powerful figures protecting them.

Facing an entrenched web of vested interests, she put herself in the thick of things and still refused to compromise her principles.

But when her adversaries resorted to various violent threats and obstruction, backed by the criminal forces’ ruthless power, she relied on her strategy and wits to stay one step ahead, deftly navigating the dangers and handling the case impartially.

She vowed to tear open this bloodstained wound in Jizhou City, give her life to stand up for its people, and protect the peace and justice of their home.
