The Cangyun Sect is a failing sect at the bottom of Qingzhou.
Its spirit vein has been dry for twenty years. Its twelve disciples are old, weak, or infirm, and all that remains in the storehouse is three low-grade spirit stones and an IOU for two thousand spirit stones.
On the first day after transmigrating, Lin Yuan kneels before the mourning hall and takes up the position of sect leader.
A chime rings in his mind:
[Invincible Sect-Building System successfully bound]
[First mission: Pass the Immortal Alliance assessment within three months. Reward: Nascent Soul cultivation]
[Failure penalty: Erasure]
While others transmigrate and become layabouts, he transmigrates to become a construction foreman.
He restores the spirit vein, builds an alchemy hall, and turns good-for-nothings into prodigies.
A genius with an Ice Spirit Root whose engagement was broken off? Recruited.
A boy with useless meridians who works as a blacksmith? Recruited.
A Golden Core cultivator shows up to extort them? Sent flying with one slap.
Three months later, at the assessment, everyone watches the Cangyun Sect march in and is dumbfounded.
"Is this damn thing a failing sect?"
Lin Yuan stands at the head of the line, with disciples as numerous as clouds behind him.
"It used to be."
