Synopsis:
Reborn into a battle for survival at sea, with everyone starting out on a wooden raft, he reels in a strange treasure chest and gains the forbidden ability [Whispers from the Deep]. While others shiver in the fog, he stalks its horrors with a knife and demands protection money. While others kneel and beg the Chosen of the Gods to spare them, he pins one to the deck and asks, “So you're a god's dog?”
His raft evolves into a ghost ship. He recruits the dead as his first mate, collects protection money from fog wraiths, and lets a rotten-flesh whale tag along as an unofficial crew member. In the chat channel, he offers only one deal: trade, or die. When the great fleets unite to hunt him down, he vanishes in and out of the fog aboard his ghost ship, wiping out thirty-three fleets in a single night. The Sea God Church brands him an “outcast of the gods.” Its followers kneel and pray for divine punishment to strike him dead. When it finally comes, he stands at the bow and gives the heavens the finger.
“Gods? They're a waste of my time.”
From a wooden raft to a ghost ship, from an ordinary mortal to the Lord of the Abyss, Chen Yuan will walk the path of deicide. Anyone who stands in his way, be they human, horror, or god, will meet the same end.
The abyss awaits its king.
