In 2026, down-on-his-luck veteran webmaster Lin Yuan shut down his last server and closed his eyes, only to return to his college dorm in 1998.
This time, he brought twenty years of internet know-how with him:
Build websites, run ads, earn dollars;
Pay a hundred yuan per article and sign the campus beauty from the English department as a writer;
Advance her twenty thousand yuan in writing fees and sign her for life.
No stealing others' opportunities, no speculation, no clinging to powerful patrons.
Two people, one computer, a network of websites,
From their first income of 828 yuan to earning $50,000 a month.
Web directories, software downloads, advertising networks, domain name servers...
While everyone else still had no idea what the internet was, he had already turned the entire era into his personal savings account.
