A Whole Stack of Spycraft Cheats: Japanese Spies Want to Call the Police

Republic-era espionage + System-based progression + conquest + hidden sci-fi plot (parallel timeline)

1936, in a parallel timeline.

A nameless consciousness without a body drifted high above the sky.

It saw the whole world: gun smoke, blood and fire, cities fallen to the enemy, and the dead.

It also saw the Gu family.

Belonging to no political faction, this family hunted enemy spies in the most primitive and ruthless ways: knives, poison, fire, whatever the cost.

It chose Gu Changyuan, the eldest son of the Gu family, a young man with his country in his eyes and iron in his bones.

A piece of dark iron fell into Gu Changyuan's palm.

From that moment on, he possessed powers that did not belong to his era: danger sense, endless weapons, unlimited medicine, and mastery of every craft.

But everything the System gave came at a price.

Gu Changyuan thought he was controlling this power.

He didn't know that the power was controlling him too.

And the bodiless being watched from the sky all along.

It was waiting.

Waiting for Gu Changyuan to reach the end of the game.

Waiting for itself to descend.
