When Shen Qingxue stepped out of the car, the sounds around her seemed to fall silent for a moment.
She wore a simple white cotton dress, her smooth black hair falling over her shoulders, with a few wisps blowing across her forehead. Her skin was so pale it looked almost translucent in the sunlight, making her eyes seem especially clear and bright. She lowered her head slightly, as if unaccustomed to so many people looking at her, and unconsciously clutched the strap of her backpack.
“Miss, your dormitory is in Building 7 in the east district. I’ve already had someone take your luggage there,” the middle-aged woman said in a lowered voice.
“Thank you, Aunt Zhang.” Shen Qingxue’s voice was just as soft, with a hint of shyness. “You can head back. I’ll be fine on my own.”
