Record of Injustice: The Cycle of Malice

In a bandit stronghold, a woman has had her tongue cut out and been nailed to a wall. Outside a temple, beneath a dead tree, a seeker lies dead with his eyes still open. And there are good people whose entire families were executed by slow slicing three hundred years ago. Behind every injustice is a villain who refuses to admit their wrongdoing, even on the brink of death. Li Daniu and Wang Xuan repeatedly venture into the past, steeped in resentment, using the truth to set tormented souls free. But when they finally uncover the last unsolved case, an even deeper truth comes to light. This is a story about good and evil. Faced with terrible injustice and malice that refuses to mend its ways even in death, one question hangs over everything: if good people are never rewarded, will anyone still choose to be good?
