Ling Jiuxiao, the foremost figure of the occult world, fails his tribulation and wakes up as Ling Rui, an abandoned son of a wealthy family.

With a marriage contract, he is “gifted” to Shen Yan, the blind, sickly heir of the Shen family, who supposedly won't live past twenty-five.

Everyone says this is the Lin family's final humiliation of the Shen family, and the ultimate fate of useless Ling Rui.

Looking at the pale young blind man in the hospital bed, who feels his way around to push the sweetest pastry toward him, Ling Jiuxiao makes a quick calculation: a pure yin fate, coveted by ghosts of every kind. No wonder his life is so short.

The Ling family wants him to fend for himself? No. Ling Jiuxiao is determined to cradle this discarded pearl in his hands and spoil him rotten.

To prolong his husband's life, Ling Jiuxiao returns to his old profession.

On the first day, he sets up a fortune-telling stall and gets mocked as a fraud.

On the tenth day, the richest man in Hong Kong Island comes in person with a check for ten million: “Master, save my life!”

By the end of the first month, tycoons from around the world are falling over themselves to get a reading from him.

Everyone says the blind man from the Ling family is lucky, but they don't know that Shen Yan's eyes open only for one person.

Everyone fears Ling Jiuxiao's godlike powers, yet all they see is him gently drawing Shen Yan into his arms and laughing softly. “What are you afraid of? My precious darling deserves the very best this world has to offer.”
