A Village Romance: Xiangxiu Dragged Me into a Blind Date from the Start

Song Shi opens his eyes and finds himself a nursing-school graduate in 2005, assigned to the clinic in Ivory Mountain Village. He’s also bound to a Wish System.

On his first day at work, the furious Wang Xiuxiu drags him off to meet someone. “From now on, you’re my boyfriend. Don’t ask why, just do as I say!”

He’d planned to settle down as a village doctor, but after hearing the villagers’ everyday wishes and seeing that 2005 is a time when fortunes are there for the taking, he realizes he can’t keep this job for another day.

He starts a business, leases orchards, collects local produce, and opens a resort...

Xie Guangkun sets out a stool to watch him starve, but Song Shi just keeps getting richer, while Xie’s own family becomes the village’s laughingstock.

Song Shi casually cures Mayor Qi’s long-standing ailment, and suddenly every town official treats him with respect.

Wang Changgui goes from pounding the table and scolding him for “not doing proper work” to offering cigarettes to everyone he meets. “That’s my son-in-law, a man who does big things!”

When Xie Yongqiang regrets the day he came to propose, Xiuxiu takes Song Shi by the arm. “Let me introduce you. This is my man.”

Song Shi scratches his head. “Wait, wasn’t this supposed to be... fake?”
