Three years ago, Peng Ziling was the most dazzling sword cultivator in the Southern Region's Peng family. But his childhood sweetheart and fiancée, Liu Ruyan, betrayed him. During a critical breakthrough, he was ambushed, his dantian shattered, and he was reduced to a cripple. His fiancée took the family's treasured Heavenly Astral Sword Art and threw herself into the arms of the young master of the Heavenly Sword Sect, crushing Peng Ziling into the mud.
Three years later, in the depths of despair, Peng Ziling awakens the memories of his past-life reincarnation. He is none other than the Sword Emperor reborn, in possession of the Nine Lifetimes Reincarnation Art. Each time he cultivates anew, his insights into the Sword Dao and the power of his soul accumulate. The moment he opens his eyes, his shattered dantian begins to repair itself, while the boundless sword intent of the Sword Emperor from his past life surges into his mind.
In this life, he will rise from a good-for-nothing to reclaim the pinnacle of the Sword Dao, making every betrayer kneel and tremble at his feet. With the power of nine lifetimes of reincarnation, he will forge his own legendary path of the sword anew. When the Heavenly Sword Sect's favored daughter appears before him again and says, as if offering charity, "Come back with me and work as a servant," Peng Ziling smiles.
"It's time to settle the score from three years ago."
With a broken sword in hand and eyes like a wolf's, he takes one step after another along the path of vengeance and proving the Dao.
