Water Margin: Is It Really Too Much to Seize Liangshan from the Start?

[Water Margin] [System] [No accepting amnesty] [No saintly protagonist] [Decisive and ruthless] When others transmigrate into Water Margin, they rush to swear allegiance to a big brother. When Shen An transmigrates into Water Margin, he nearly gets used to give Lin Chong a token of allegiance from the start. Wang Lun’s plan is laid out perfectly: I play the good guy, Lin Chong takes the blame, Shen An turns tail. Flawless. Shen An: Got it. So that’s how you pass the blade back. So, over two bowls of wine at the inn, he sends Leopard Head’s fury through the roof. Then, at a banquet in the Hall of Loyalty and Righteousness, before Wang Lun can make it to the side door, he finds every exit blocked by Shen An’s men. On the surface, Shen An is breaking up the fight. In reality, he has the main entrance, side door, and every escape route covered. When Wang Lun falls, everyone assumes Lin Chong will take over. Lin Chong: I won’t do it. Shen An: Then I’ll make sure you win. Lin Chong: Stop putting on an act. In the end, the first thing Shen An does as the new chief of the stronghold isn’t throw his weight around. He checks the books, opens the private treasury, and hands out silver. Only then do the Liangshan men realize Wang Lun wasn’t broke. He was just outrageously stingy. But just as Shen An wins everyone’s hearts, the System notification sounds, and a real disaster comes knocking...
