I Transmigrated to the Savage Lands: I’ll Defy the Gods with the Unorthodox Path

Lu Qi, stranded in the savage lands of the beastmen, was once an ordinary idler from the Central Plains who spent his days hanging around Daoist temples. By a stroke of misfortune, he fell into the Realm of Huánmán.

This place is a spiritual pasture where the gods raise souls. The Holy Light Church preaches holy light while harvesting the souls of all living beings, and the beastmen tribes are trapped in the wilds, locked in endless conflict with one another.

Lu Qi possesses incomplete, unorthodox Daoist arts. He relies neither on faith nor on worshipping gods, but establishes himself through the baleful energy of mountains and rivers, talismans, and esoteric yin arts.

He gathers beastmen tribes on the brink of extinction and maneuvers among the various peoples, using cunning alliances to play them against one another.

The Church regards the Daoist path as its greatest heresy, while the gods fear cultivators who refuse to sacrifice souls.

As holy light descends in a blazing torrent, Lu Qi stands before the myriad races, a yellow talisman in hand.

“Heaven’s will is not for the gods to decide. The souls of all living beings belong to themselves!”
