Five Hahas: Mute for Five Years, I Lead Song Yuqi Astray from the Start

Gu Ye transmigrates to a parallel world. After losing his voice in a fire, he retreats from the spotlight and becomes a "devoted, melancholy" mute.

His childhood sweetheart, Song Yuqi, leaves for overseas, vowing to return as a champion and protect him for the rest of his life.

Five years later, Song Yuqi returns in triumph, crowned the "top-tier star empress who came home from abroad."

Meanwhile, Gu Ye has gone to the Wuha production set to mooch a meal from his cousin, Lu Xiaohan, and accidentally runs into a scandal involving a guest star.

The chief director cries, "Emergency! Who can fill in?"

Lu Xiaohan drags Gu Ye out: "My brother! He's handsome, and the only thing he can't do is talk. He's got everything else going for him!"

The moment Gu Ye is pushed onto the stage, the [Ultimate Prankster Emotion System] awakens!

[As long as your antics stir up other people's emotions, you can earn progress toward restoring your singing voice and god-tier works!]

And so audiences across the country, along with Song Yuqi, who has just returned, witness a moment they will never forget:

The once aloof and melancholy, silent beloved who was like the unattainable moon in their hearts,

now wearing a screaming chicken toy and, in a raspy voice, performing a "capture the ferocious bandit alive" routine for an old man passing by, all with a perfectly straight face.

Viewers: "His voice is hoarse, and the songs he writes can make you cry your eyes out. So why does he make us laugh ourselves to death on variety shows?!"

Song Yuqi grabs Gu Ye by the ear, on the verge of tears:

"Gu Ye! What happened to the melancholy pretty boy you promised me? Give me back my touching memories!"
