A Sweet, Soft-Spoken 1980s Nanny: The Abstinent Factory Director Strips Her Every Night

[Period setting + space + building a fortune + sweet romance + voluptuous beauty + marriage first, love later (sort of)]

In the 1980s, the curvaceous, sweet-scented beauty Tang Wan sneaks onto a train in the middle of the night to escape her stepmother’s attempt to marry her off. But her suspicious behavior gets her arrested as a suspected human trafficker.

The one who interrogates her is Lu Zhixing, the youngest and most aloof engineer at the machinery factory, raised in a military compound.

Everyone says Engineer Lu is an icy mountain lotus, cold and unyielding, with no interest in women.

Only Lu Zhixing knows he is on the verge of breaking down after years of migraines and insomnia. Then this little woman appears, and her sweet, milky scent turns out to be his only cure.

For the sake of this “human sleeping pill,” Lu Zhixing plays along with the misunderstanding and brings her home as a maid under the pretext of “labor observation.”

Tang Wan keeps her space spirit spring a secret and just wants to behave herself, save money, and run away.

Who would have guessed that late every night, the cool and self-possessed man would quietly push open her bedroom door, greedily breathing in the fragrance that lets him sleep?

Until one day, he carries her, blanket and all, into his arms. His burning chest presses against her skin as he says hoarsely, “Wanwan, don’t leave. You gave me my life.”

Only later does Tang Wan realize that what she thought was desperation had actually been his plan all along.
