A Melon Farmer Takes Luoyang: I Split the Aristocratic Order in Two

[A feast of substance] [No System] [True history] [No alternate history]

Real history is often more gripping than any power fantasy.

Everyone knows Sun Jian had Sun Ce, the “Little Conqueror of Jiangdong,” and Sun Quan, the one of whom people said, “May all sons be like Sun Zhongmou.”

Yet few know how Sun Jian, founder of the Sun clan, rose from the son of a humble melon farmer, broke through the suffocating grip of powerful clans, and laid the foundation for three generations of his family amid the chaos at the end of the Han dynasty, as recorded in the true account of the Records of the Three Kingdoms.

History is no romance. The truth has even more to offer.

This is no formulaic retelling of the Three Kingdoms, but a hard-hitting social history of an underdog’s rise, peeling back the layers of unspoken rules governing power at the end of the Han dynasty.

The poor are like grass, but the hardiest grow into wolves. Sun Jian in the historical records was fiercer, stronger, and more fascinating than any fictional protagonist!
