Tang Sanzang: Between Buddhahood and Immortality, I Choose Marriage

Chen Wei transmigrates as Tang Monk. As soon as he reaches the Kingdom of Women, he stages the infamous “horseback diarrhea” scene and declares he’s giving up the pilgrimage to marry the queen. Facing the aloof Mu Yunni, he feigns illness to get her attention and uses a game of keep-ups to get closer, eventually winning her heart with his relentless flirting.

To protect the Kingdom of Women, he builds hot-air balloons to wipe out locusts, begs the Dragon King for rain to end the drought, and uses Nuwa’s calamity-struck realm to stop the Tang army’s hundred thousand cavalry. He refuses Buddhahood and rejects becoming an immortal. Chen Wei only wants to stay by the queen’s side and live an ordinary, vibrant life in this land.
