When the Fog Lifts, He's Still Waiting for Me

Everyone at school knew Zhou Jibai was number one.

But few knew which row Shen Zhiwei sat in, despite her name always appearing right below his.

She was quiet and reserved, never joined group activities, and even in the graduation photo, she habitually stood at the very edge. Everyone remembered her only as “the runner-up for a thousand years.” Only Zhou Jibai remembered that she didn't like her soy milk too sweet, that she always forgot her umbrella on rainy days, and every article she published in the school magazine under the pen name “Weiming.”

Years later, Shen Zhiwei earned a position at Yaochuan Group on the strength of her abilities.

At the final interview, the man seated at the head of the table looked up at her.

“Shen Zhiwei. It's been seven years.”

“Why do you still like sitting in the last row?”

She had thought no one ever knew about her secret crush.

Only later did she discover that she had treasured someone's name for seven years, while he had treasured her entire youth.
