Handong: You Want to Audit My Assets? This Trillionaire Can Legally Flip the Table

Shen Yuan transmigrates to the parallel world of Dongzhou Province, where he is in charge of Jiuzhou Industrial Group, a company worth hundreds of billions.

An inspection team transferred in from elsewhere takes an aggressive approach, using an industry-wide cleanup to exaggerate the company's problems. They intend to squeeze out the local industry leader, make room for outside capital, and force Shen Yuan to hand over management of the company.

Shen Yuan follows the rules throughout and calmly responds with a complete compliance plan. When the inspection team questions safety, factories across the entire heavy-industry chain halt operations for a hundred days of self-inspection, and logistics across the region are suspended for verification. When the team imposes crude energy controls, he strictly follows the regulations and enforces power restrictions, delaying construction at a major local renewable energy park. When they try to conduct a surprise audit, he proactively seals all financial records and applies for a national-level compliance audit, ensuring a fully notarized process that no one can bypass to access receipts without authorization.

Within a month, an industrial chain worth hundreds of billions is put on hold, putting the local economy under strain. The official in charge of industrial development, who is eager to get projects moving, arrives late at night to negotiate a restart. The inspectors in charge of verification have no way to proceed against the compliance process. The inspection team's leader is caught in a dilemma.

An official who had stepped back from the front line because of disagreements over development policy reflects that excessive pressure and a hardline approach get you nowhere. Dongzhou's business community finally sees the truth: compliance is the only way to stay in business, and lasting development requires healthy cooperation between government and enterprises.
