Reborn in 1990: Turning a Poor Mountain Village into a National Model

[Feel-Good Rebirth in a Bygone Era] [A Rural Development Comeback] [Era + Business Management + Face-Slapping + Shared Prosperity]

When the whole village was scrambling to sell its mountains just to survive, I was reborn.

At twenty-four, Liang Shou’an opens his eyes and finds himself back at Qinghe Bay, at the turning point of his fate. An outsider boss is slapping money onto the table, villagers are rushing to sign away the mountains, and his father is about to leave his fingerprint on the contract to pay for his mother’s medical treatment. But Liang alone knows that if they sign, Qinghe Bay will prosper for three months, then languish for thirty years! Drawing on his experience running rural businesses in his previous life and his knowledge of the trends of the next twenty years, he tears up the contract on the spot, draws up a written pledge, and raises the money to dig a well within seven days! Bamboo groves, ancient trails, barren slopes, old houses, local produce, and skilled craftspeople: he brings them all back to life. The first gift box of local produce nets 300 yuan, water output from the first new well rises by 80%, and the first participating villagers receive cash that very month!

While others are still laughing at him for struggling to make something of a poor mountain village, he has already turned a disused ancient trail into a sales route, vacant old houses into an industry, barren slopes into orchards, and scattered villagers into a cooperative... Until one day, the county issues an official notice, the whole township is in an uproar, and outside investors arrive at his door in the middle of the night! [The whole village thinks he only wants to pay off his debts. Little do they know he intends to make Qinghe Bay the nation’s first model of a beautiful, harmonious village!]
