Chen Fan, a modern office drone, gets a “Myriad Worlds TV” that can connect to the ancient Tang Dynasty. He plans to make a fortune by reselling modern glass marbles, but the scheme is unexpectedly spotted by Li Shimin, who is traveling incognito. From then on, the Tang Dynasty gains a “Heavenly Book” from the future, and Chen Fan is forced to become the “Imperial Preceptor” behind the empire, launching a dual struggle across two worlds: profiteering between eras and the rise of an empire.
