Worldbuilding: A group of modern urban professionals transmigrate into The Great Sheng Dynasty, a fictional historical novel. The original story focuses on political intrigue and palace strife, following Prince Jing’s rebellion, the emperor’s assassination, and infighting in the imperial harem. After transmigrating, everyone is randomly assigned an identity. They retain their modern memories, but must adapt to the rules of the past and its power struggles. The world has its own “Fate Correction Mechanism,” which tries to eliminate the transmigrators and keep the original plot on course.
Male lead, Gu Yanchen: Formerly the CEO of a multinational corporation, he is cool-headed, decisive, and a brilliant strategist. After transmigrating, he becomes Xiao Jingyan, the disposable emperor in the novel. Three years into his reign, Prince Jing has stripped him of power, and in the original story he is destined to be poisoned during a coup. He awakens the Emperor System, which lets him draw on modern knowledge of management, military affairs, and technology. Each use consumes “Dragon Qi,” and when it runs out, he dies.
Female lead, Lin Xiaoman: Formerly a junior administrative assistant at a company, she is gentle but resilient. After transmigrating, she becomes Lin, a low-ranking beauty in the imperial harem. Her original self went mad after witnessing the emperor being poisoned. She awakens the Eye of Fate, which lets her briefly foresee glimpses of the future, but each use brings splitting headaches and scrambled memories.
The transmigrators: All twelve people in the conference room transmigrate, each taking on an identity such as chancellor, general, censor, imperial physician, palace maid, or eunuch. Some choose to side with factions from the original plot, while others try to work together to change their fate. Conflict within the group begins to grow: some want to seize the throne, while others want to return to the modern world.
Core conflict: Prince Jing has begun gathering troops, and the countdown to the coup is underway. The emperor and the beauty in the harem must uncover evidence of the rebellion, win over loyal officials, and stabilize the court within seven days. At the same time, the System warns: “If Fate is rewritten completely, the world will collapse.”
